Welcome to Money Simplified!
Let’s get acquainted, shall we?
Hello everyone! I’m Zane. If you’ve stumbled across this blog, welcome to the inner workings of my personal finance filled-mind. Often filled with thoughts of money that I keep to myself (and often my wife who I thank for indulging me), you now get to enjoy online! This blog will hopefully be a way for me to help others in their personal finance journey, while learning from all of you along the way. I hope we both can better understand where our views of money come from, how they affect our habits today, and how to become better versions of ourselves financially.
So a little about me then, shall we? I’m a follower of Christ first and foremost, and live daily in His grace. I’m 25 and live in Michigan (maybe one day if I’m lucky Texas) with my beautiful and very patient wife Kelsey. I work as a Product Manager at a large corporation based here. Since this is a personal finance blog, I’m sure you want to know our income. Go ahead and subscribe and maybe it’ll hit your inbox. I love fitness and am on the running trails or the gym everyday. I also love coffee, as noticed by the one too many pieces of coffee equipment in our house.
I want to use this blog to talk about money basics, my take on the latest news pertaining to money, and how there are so many factors we don’t consider that influence how we view money. Let’s get this straight though - I am not a certified financial expert in any way (legal can put their hands down). I just enjoy reading and learning more about money, and want to put that to good use (besides paying my own bills). Even though I’m not certified, I feel like I’ve been given an opportunity to share and help others with money, to help them see their untapped abilities. There is so much to learn, yet the path to achieving what so many of us want is relatively simple! There are bumps, and at times it will be hard, but taking time to learn the basics and applying them goes so far. I hope that’s where I can help.
As I said I have no formal training in money (besides a business degree -take that how you’d like), but I find myself spending a lot of time reading about money. I’m not obsessed with it, and I try not to let it lead my life, but I just really enjoy learning about everything that goes into building wealth - wealth of people, businesses, and nations.
I’m really excited to begin this journey, and hope I can help others along the way. There is so much potential with money when we realize the potential we all have. I hope to play a part in that for all of us.
